Local CPA Firm Partner Named Treasurer of the Maryland Association of CPAs

Gaithersburg, MD – Allen DeLeon, CPA, PFS, Founding Partner of DeLeon & Stang, was recently named treasurer of the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA).

“It’s an honor to be part of an organization that provides support and benefit to CPAs throughout Maryland,” says DeLeon.  “I am committed to help carry out the mission of the MACPA and will use this opportunity to grow on both a personal and professional level.”

As treasurer, DeLeon is responsible for overseeing the MACPA’s financial records and budget.  He also reports at board meetings on the financial status of the organization.  Founded in 1901, the MACPA is a statewide, professional membership organization representing the majority of Maryland CPAs in practice, industry, government and education.  Seven chapters and numerous committees made up of hundreds of CPA volunteers develop programs and address issues to help all members be successful professionals.

In his role at DeLeon & Stang, DeLeon oversees the firm audit practice, which specializes credit unions, nonprofit organizations, homeowner associations and hotels. He is also very active with corporate and individual tax planning and preparation, estate planning, investment management and insurance advisory services for businesses and individuals.  With over 25 years of experience in public accounting, DeLeon assists businesses with the development and implementation of accounting systems, budgets and financial statements.
