Deleon & Stang Teams Up with CHOMPERS Pet Food Pantry to Help Local Residents In Need Keep Their Pets

When donations closed on April 30, the DeLeon & Stang team had collected 94 pet items across the three offices. A team of DeLeon & Stang volunteers dropped off the items at the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County on May 1. A team of DeLeon & Stang volunteers returned on May 14 for CHOMPER’s monthly food drive to help them distribute the items to local families.
The DeLeon & Stang team looks forward to partnering with CHOMPERS again in the future for more food drives and volunteer events.
GAITHERSBURG, MD, Mar 20, 2023—DeLeon & Stang is teaming up with the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County (AWLMC) to help their community. DeLeon & Stang will be collecting donations for CHOMPERS Pet Food Pantry from February 15 until April 30, 2023. CHOMPERS is the pet food bank program of AWLMC that helps low-income households keep their pets healthy by providing them with food, treats and toys.
The CHOMPERS Pet Food Bank program was established in 2010 and has been providing food and supplies to pet owners who may not have the means to maintain their pets on their own. One Sunday each month, CHOMPERS volunteers distribute pet food to families in need. This vital program has been helping the community for over 10 years and is continuing to provide resources that make pet ownership a reality for many families.
DeLeon & Stang is proud to partner with AWLMC to support CHOMPERS and help keep pets in homes and out of shelters. Donation bins will be stationed at the front of each of the three DeLeon & Stang offices to collect donations from February 15–April 20, 2023. By working with local organizations like the Animal Welfare League, DeLeon & Stang is taking the initiative to make Montgomery County a better place for people and animals alike. A strong community can only be realized when everyone is cared for.
