FREDERICK, MD, Oct 18, 2022 – The DeLeon & Stang team took part in Frederick’s annual Day of Action, a citywide volunteer event hosted by United Way of Frederick. Community members gather yearly to support local A.L.I.C.E. households (asset-limited, income constrained, employed) through various projects and youth engagement opportunities.

A.L.I.C.E. households are classified as employed but struggle to afford basic needs like housing and childcare.

DeLeon & Stang volunteers helped stuff weekend backpacks for students in local school districts. They also worked alongside a team of Frederick Country Public Schools volunteers to work on landscaping projects at Hillcrest Elementary.

“We were thrilled to partner with the United Way of Frederick again for another volunteer opportunity,” said Brad Hoffman. “They do so much for our local community, and it’s important for us to be a part of their efforts.”

The DeLeon & Stang team also partnered with the United Way of Frederick earlier this year for their Stuff the Bus event benefitting Frederick County Public Schools.
